Brian H. Childs, M.Div., Th.M., Ph.D.
Brian H. Childs, M.Div., Th.M., Ph.D. is Professor of Bioethics and Professionalism and Director of Ethics Education on all three campuses of the Mercer University School of Medicine in Columbus, Macon, and Savannah, Georgia. He studied with Seward Hiltner at Princeton Theological Seminary and Paul Ramsey at Princeton University. With an undergraduate degree in Classics (Ancient Greek and Latin language, philosophy and literature) he is also a Diplomate Supervisor and Diplomate Psychotherapist and is a past president of CPSP. He is the author of ten books, hundreds of articles and is the editor of two peer reviewed medical ethics journals. He is on the national ethics committee of the Association for Organ Procurement Organizations and is an ethics consultant in organ transplant ethics at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the Johns Hopkins Medical Center.
